The Philippines

The Philippines is A dream come true for the Classic Car enthusiast.   Filipinos  don't throw anything away, and cars are no exception. 

Car History

The Car belonged to friend of mine who  inherited it as part of  a bad dept, as you can see from the Photo it was in a pretty Bad  state and needed a lot of TLC.

The Interior was a complete mess, however the dash board including the original radio were in good order.

The Project

I purchased the Car for a little over three hundred $US  and my first restoration project had begun. I got a few estimates from local body shops, set a budget and work began.

Filipino Time

There is a saying in Philippines called Filipino time, Why do something Today when it can be done Tomorrow. They  are  very laid back, However the wait was worth while.

They did A superb paint job, going  back to bare metal before adding several layers of paint.
